Wijshop Story
Wijshop is born from the personal experience of the founders who were not able to find the offers they were looking for in the local shops. Searching for specific products could be a nightmare, some shops would hae an internet site, others a facebook page or a instagram account, others just relied on posters and ads on their shop window. The desidere to reduce the waste of packaging and pollution linked to ecommerce was another motivation. During the pandemic we also noticed how shops were struggling to keep their base costumers informed in real time or on daily base. By talking to local shops owners we understood their difficulties to promote their business in a simple way without intermediaries or special skills and at the same time to protect their reputation from malicious competitors or unfair users who would hindered their image.

City Halls and organisers can promote fairs and events, letting the public know where they take place, which business are taking part. It makes it easier for newcomers to find out what is going out around them, and it help boost touristic activities.
Reduce the impact on the environment.
Buying from your local shops helps reduce packaging and logistics derived pollution produced by all the e-commerce deliveries. At the same time, shops can avoid other forms of advertisements, like leaflets and billboards, reducing their carbon footprint
Value our users.
Many online services builds their success and business on the back of the reviews of their users. They don't really recognize the contribution of their users, sometimes they grant status badges which don't reward their efforts. At Wijshop we want to place the users to the centre by offering special rewards to thank them.
